  Also, it sounds like all their mortgage "specialists" are temp employees from another country. (Outsourcing our jobs?) May be that is the reason their service is so poor.

  I wanted to put a very large amount into my savings account but the very rude teller said I had to tell her if the "smart" account or the "advantage savings" was my savings account. How the *(&^()(%$ am I supposed to know what the CIBC renames their accounts to. How can she be working there and not know the difference? Moving my money elsewhere, they are NOT the only game in town.

  In fact, she lied, she tweaked information, she threatened with high closure fees, she provided false statements. She and her buddies kept calling us every evening and bombarded with stupid offers of " the best" rate. I felt like I am dealing with a cheap car dealership or with Asian flea-market seller, not reputable bank. We asked them not to call us anymore, but they kept calling, pretending they were not aware about our request. Very dishonest, insincere people. As a result I do not trust CIBC anymore.

  I wanted to renew my mortgage with CIBC as I was their customer for many years. I expected same service I had 5 years ago. However, instead of professionals I was reaching greedy mortgage "specialist" who was not professional at all.
