  I have brought my vehicle to this shop twice now. Car issues seem to stress me out a lot :( This shop has done more then give me a piece of mind though :) I had an emergency where I had punctured a hole into my oil pan and my car was leaking oil all over the ground, they have great hours of operation and they took my car in as soon as they could and after just a few days, I had my car back good as new. They make suggestions for you and really seem to have a genuine approach to their customer service. Today I thought I would be faced with a major (expensive) mechanical issue but once again, I am more then pleased with their service. Good rates, friendly service and I would recommend this shop to anyone!

  They gave a really thorough explanation about why they couldn't fix anything causing the check engine light, but at least claimed to verify that it wasn't anything that would be a safety issue, so that was OK.

  Maybe it's coincidence that the sprayer happened to stop working when they were servicing it, but it seems more likely it was broken by someone that didn't want to cop to it. They told me the switch cost as much to replace as the rear wiper motor so I can see why. Bad luck all around I suppose.

  Response to the Response from the owner: I used the sprayer to clean the back window, which is what it's for. It was dirty. Am I sure I wasn't thinking of the front wipers? Honestly...you know full well the wiper arm did work, it just stopped mid-wipe. After using it I had to keep using the spray function until the wiper arm seated in the proper position instead of the middle of the window.

  They were excellent with giving me a detailed estimate, and only did the work discussed. Also gave me suggested repairs, and detailed explanations. Plan on making this my regular garage! Would recommend!

  But when they called to tell me that they installed the rear wiper, they commented on the broken sprayer, which was working fine when I dropped it off. When I told them it was working when I gave it to them they just told me no it wasn't. I know it was because I used it that day. If it was broken, I would have asked them to fix that too.

  And creating a new problem with my car, that costs the same amount of money to fix as the problem I brought it in for in the first place, is what I consider flushing my money down the toilet. But I guess it's easier to act like a victim than take responsibility for your mistake.

  Overall, they were professional and courteous and the maintenance service seemed fine, even though I didn't really need my oil changed. But a diagnosis without being able resolve the problem amounts to little more than a nice song and dance. And as much damage was incurred as was fixed effectively leaving me right where I was at the start, minus $600. As far as the end result of my visit went, flushing my money down the toilet would have made the same difference except I would've been able to drive my car for 2 extra days.

  I went in here to get a check engine light looked at, front brakes and my rear windshield wiper motor fixed because the wiper would stop halfway with each wipe, which was annoying.

  Start Automotive Inc, don't worry about your 1 year warranty, you won't be seeing me again. A really expensive lesson but I'll have to roll the dice on another mechanic when that check engine light comes back on.
